North Park Gallery Nights

  • The Rainbow SD 2910 University Avenue San Diego, CA, 92104 United States (map)

An Evening of Art, Community, and Creative Energy

Join us for the very first North Park Gallery Nights — a relaxed, art-forward evening in the heart of downtown North Park. This pilot event brings together local creative spaces for a shared celebration of art, neighborhood, and connection.

Follow our map to wander between galleries and studios, explore street art, and be immersed in the creative energy that lives right here in our community. With unique exhibits, offerings, and experiences at each stop it’s the perfect way to spend a San Diego summer evening.

✨ This first Gallery Night is a test run — a chance to see what’s possible. We’re hoping for strong turnout, great feedback, and the kind of response that tells us to keep building. If the energy is there, we’d love to grow this into a regular tradition for North Parkers and neighbors who believe in the power of local art. Please peruse the details provided below and check back for updates between now and Sept. 18th!

🌈 The Rainbow
An art studio and experience space in North Park, The Rainbow is dedicated to activating underutilized spaces with art, community, and creation. For Gallery Night, The Rainbow will feature creations from multiple local artists and entrepreneurs (including Nicole Zappala, Mara Altman, Hanna Daly, Scarlett Baily and Samira Tea to name a few) offering a vibrant showcase of neighborhood creatives, likely in addition to a community art project. therainbowsd.com

🏡 Granada House
A vibrant hub for art, music, and creativity, Granada House offers an inspiring space where community and creativity converge. With constantly revolving art exhibitions and creative experiences, plus a few space surprises, this spot is not to be missed. On display will be a solo show featuring Neil Shigley. granada-house.com

Verbatim Books
Verbatim Books is a primarily secondhand bookstore with a selection of over 50,000 gently-loved and antiquarian books. Verbatim also carries art, local zines, tarot decks, journals, stickers, and anything else that catches our eye. On display will be the art of Richard T. Reyes, a native San Diegan and self-taught artist who brings pop culture icons and deep-seeded fears into sharp focus with nothing more than a skillful wielding of a pencil and pen. His graphite, pen, and multi media images are created with a three-dimensional quality that fairly leap from the paper to frighten or amuse viewers. The original art will be displayed and for sale, as well as prints.
