MAKE: February - Block Printing

  • The Rainbow SD 2910 University Avenue San Diego, CA, 92104 United States (map)

It’s officially a new year, and we’re getting the gang back together to MAKE stuff. YAY Join us for a lovey dovey evening of block printing with local North Park artist Kasey Leung of MOS Designs (@kasey.art)

In this beginner-friendly workshop, Kasey will guide you through designing, carving, and hand-printing your own original block. You’ll use it to create small art prints or greeting cards—perfect for gifting, sharing, or keeping for yourself. The emphasis is on process over perfection, with plenty of room to experiment and enjoy making with your hands.

No experience needed and all materials are provided. You’ll leave with finished prints and your carved block to keep, so you can continue printing at home. And you know we’re going to layer on at least a few sweet Valentine’s day details.

🖐️ All materials + gentle MAKE-style guidance provided
☕ Snacks + sips included
💌 You’ll leave with hand-printed pieces and a block you can reuse
✨ Space is limited — grab your spot while it’s open

Cost: $60

Grab your spot: Coming soon

Details + Refund Policy: This experience begins at 6pm. Feel free to park in the North Park Garage located at 3829 29th St. The hourly cost is reasonable if you can’t find street parking. MAKE is a monthly series hosted by Mara Altman and Nicole Zappala where we gather to connect and create over accessible, funky crafts. Experiences are guided by our hosts or in some cases, we invite artists and makers in to guide us. Check out some of the MAKEs we’ve done on Instagram.
